A Very New York 60th Birthday Party
My dad is one to always put his family and friends first. So, as the big 6 0 was approaching a well-deserved surprise birthday bash was in order. If you know my dad you'll also know that he loves good food, New York City, Motown Music and most importantly seeing his family and friends happy. So all of these things were must haves for the celebration.
My mom and I found a venue with the perfect NYC view, hired a top notch exclusively Motown band and brought in catering from two of his favorite restaurants. The whole night screamed Bernie. Decor was simple with a black, gold and white theme and lots of candles. We didn't want anything to overshadow the amazing city views. Keeping the party a secret during the months of planning was hard (and a slip up almost gave it away), but thankfully he was surprised and enjoyed every minute of the night! Not only was he happy, but all the party-goers had a great time too. The pictures speak for themselves!
